A barbell ideal for upper arm training, with adjustable angles to accommodate a variety of exercises
When working your biceps and triceps, using a straight barbell puts strain on your wrists.
The appropriate wrist angle is determined for each exercise. For example, when doing arm curls, the best angle is when your thumbs are pointing slightly upwards, rather than gripping a straight barbell.
This IOC-1 Olympic Arm Curl Bar has been designed with optimal angles for a variety of upper arm exercises, allowing you to train with heavy weights and reduce the risk of injury.
A 50mm barbell is recommended for upper arm training.
Most upper arm exercises, such as arm curls and lying extensions, involve movements that move in an arc.
With a φ28mm shaft, the sleeve does not rotate, and the rotational moment places a strain on the elbows and shoulders, posing a risk of injury.
If you use a φ50mm shaft, the rotational moment will be released by the sleeve rotating, reducing the risk.
