This product is a successor to the basic 80's T-shirt (Japanese size).

In the 1980s, many famous bodybuilders, athletes, and Hollywood stars became members of Gold's Gym and made their mark on the world stage.
We have perfectly reproduced the Gold's Gym wear that was worn in magazines, on television, and in movies in an era before the Internet and social media.

We borrowed valuable clothing and materials from the collection of Gold's Gym vintage collector Shigeo Miyano, author of the monthly Ironman magazine series "Gold's Gym Vintage Research," to recreate the designs and colors from the 1980s that helped spread the name of GOLD'SGYM around the world.

1980s logo

Compare the font of the logo, the curvature of "GOLD'S," the flexibility of the barbell, and the color of the pants with the current logo. The current Classic J logo is closer to the logo that was used when Gold's Gym T-shirts were released in 1973, and is different from the logo from the 1980s.

Store location: "California"

The name drop T-shirts sold at Gold's Gym locations feature the location of each store printed on the logo bottom. The basic 80's T-shirt uses "California." The font is also a reproduction of the original.

Reissued Color

In addition to the classic black, white, and red, there was orange, which was labeled as "gold" at the time, and royal blue, which is still popular today, which was a fresh color even back then.
