What is Mreithew®?
In 1988, Lindsay and Moira Merrithew opened their first Pilates studio in Toronto, Canada. Recognizing the growing demand for Pilates and a lack of suppliers, President and CEO Lindsay focused on building and diversifying the business. Moira, the Executive Director of Education, who was certified as an instructor at a New York Pilates studio, began training clients.
They realized that the benefits of Pilates could help people of all ages and abilities. So, they set out to articulate the method, raise awareness, and make it more accessible.
With a team of business and health and fitness professionals, they built their current business model, paying meticulous attention to every detail, from equipment to programming.
